Meet the Team

Liz Pattinson MA FCIPD MIFL

Liz has worked within training and organisational development for approximately 28 years. In her role as Workforce Development Manager, she has commissioned, developed and delivered a range of training programmes on behalf of two Local Authorities for all levels of the workforce providing corporate and health & social care services to the public.

She has extensive knowledge of workforce planning and development of the workforce to meet organisational needs against a background of change, particularly within health and adult social care.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), is a Member of the Institute for Learning (IfL) has an M.A. in Human Resource Management and a Certificate in Education (F.E.).

Susan Milburn

Susan has worked within the training and development field for over 25 years. The last 12 years have been within the criminal justice system, where she has gained extensive experience and knowledge of violent crime, particularly domestic and family violence involving children, young people and vulnerable adults. Her last role was based with Cleveland Police in the North Vulnerability Unit, where she was Project Manager for the MARAC’s (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference), in Teesside aimed at protecting victims and their families from domestic violence and serious harm.

Susan has a proven track record of Multi Agency working and Project Management. She has previously worked within the Health Care Sector where she implemented NVQ’s for health care assistants. She also worked for the Learning Skills Council on both the NVQ services and the Investors In People team progressing to become an Assessor and Regional Internal Verifier for the Investors In People standard. In addition she has extensive experience of coaching, mentoring and staff training and development.

She is a member of the Institute for Leadership and Management and the Institute for Learning. She also has a teaching qualification and has recently completed a University Certificate in Continuing Education to enable her to become a Practice Educator/Teacher for student social workers.

Michael Appleby RN DiP NS

Michael has worked as a Health Care professional within the NHS for over 25 years. He is a member of the Institute for Learning, and can offer specialist training in Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Equality & Diversity, Customer Care and the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework along with portfolio building.

John Ridley

John has over 30 years' experience in secondary school teaching up to A Level standard and in Further Education. He has spent the last 3 years working with Pattinson & Milburn Training to teach Maths and English Functional Skills at Level 1 and 2, and ICT Functional Skills at Level 1.
